Stop the wars, silence the bombs

Wars and escalations across the world continue to scar communities and destabilize entire regions. Just yesterday, the outbreak of war between Pakistan and Afghanistan added yet another front to a global landscape already marked by devastation in Sudan, destruction in Ukraine, genocide in Gaza, relentless bombardments in Yemen, and air strikes in Lebanon. Now, the United States and Israel have launched attacks against Iran, dragging the Middle East into yet another cycle of destruction.

The assaults that began on February 28 are not isolated strikes; they are acts of aggression that threaten to engulf the entire region. Iran’s retaliation against U.S. bases has already widened the conflict, pulling Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Israel into the spiral of violence. Millions of civilians across the world are now trapped under the shadow of war.

The aggressive policies of the United States and Israel are transforming the Middle East into a battlefield, erasing any possibility of dialogue and stability. At the same time, Iran’s escalation risks turning this confrontation into a wave of violence against the peoples living within and around its borders. This militarist spiral is not only a violation of international law and the principle of civilian protection—it also raises the terrifying possibility of nuclear war. The world cannot afford such a catastrophe.

No justification can legitimize bombardments that disregard human life, and it seems as though little coherent explanation has even been attempted - this is war for the sake of war. No strategic calculation can excuse the transformation of entire regions into war zones. What must be done today is clear and urgent: the war must end, the bombardments must cease, civilians must be protected, international law must be upheld, and all parties must commit to dialogue rather than destruction.

Peace must be established not only for the people of Iran but for all peoples of the region. Our call is uncompromising: stop the attacks, silence the weapons, prevent the spread of war, and reject the path of militarism. Solidarity, justice, and peace are not optional—they are the shared responsibility of humanity, and they must be defended against the machinery of war.
