We’re very excited to announce the publication of our new book New Worlds in Old Shells, which explores how and why our movements can build vibrant, radical, liberating projects that meet the needs of their communities. The book was published on 8th October, with a launch webinar on 22nd October (details below).

You can get a copy of the book via the links below:

New Worlds in Old Shells sets out to prompt, question, guide, challenge, nurture and provoke anyone who looks at the world and thinks “surely it doesn’t have to be like this?”

The eight chapters explore:

  • the crucial role that values play in building a just and nonviolent society
  • strategic planning and analysis, visions, goals, and developing a strategy
  • interacting and relating with the dominant culture and society that we are trying to change
  • different dimensions where our ideas come to life, like housing, food production, transportation, health, or the arts
  • Training and education for social change
  • A series of case studies, stories and experiences from around the world

Launch webinar - postponed

To celebrate the release of the book we were planning to hold a webinar on 22nd October. However, due to circumstances out of our control we have decided to postpone this event. We hope it will take place in early December and will email out further details when we have them.
