Reports from the International Day of Action for Military-Free Education and Research
On 14 June 2013 groups in India, Germany, South Africa, the State of Spain, Chile, Congo, the USA and Israel did a variety of actions to call for education systems and research free from the influence of the military. The actions included street theatre; holding placards near a school with a recent history of resistance to the military; and a workshop on an alternative, nonviolent education system.
