15th May is International Day on Conscientious Objection. This year's focus is on the situation of conscientious objectors in South Korea, who are regularly sentenced to 18 months in prison.
Since 10 May, South Korean COs and international supporters from Britain, Germany, Finland, Israel, Eritrea, Spain, Macedonia, and the USA are meeting in Seoul to exchange experiences and to prepare for an international nonviolent action on 15 May (see press release).
You can read more on the situation in South Korea in the latest issue of The Broken Rifle.
