Free 250+ conscientious objectors in prison in the Republic of Korea
Use this form to send the letter below to Moon Jae-in. You can add your own notes in a separate box after the standard text, if you wish. You must include a name, address, and email address; a copy will be sent to you with a cc to the WRI office (so we have a record of how many email have been sent).
Dear Moon Jae-in,
Conscientious objection to military service is a human right. Contrary to international obligations, currently over 250 young people are imprisoned for refusing military service in the Republic of Korea.
I am writing to urge your government to immediately release them, and stop imprisoning those who refuse military service in the future.
