The Morning Plenaries

Every morning, the conference will begin in a short plenary. But even though it will be short, it will be a session that sets a tone for the day.

The session will be a time when we hear individual stories from five of our participants, one each day. They have been asked to talk about their local peace work and the political situations in their homelands, but not as political reports. They have been asked to share more of their personal stories: how they came to be active in this movement; how the issues affect them; what keeps them going. It is hoped that everyone will leave these sessions with not only new information, but also with more personal awareness of the WRI community and some of the courageous and creative people who are among us.

The Morning Plenary will also be a time for announcements, practical information, and a short summary of the latest world news.
