The first ever international week of action for military-free education and research was held between 25-31 October 2014. Antimilitarists across the world took action to raise awareness, and to challenge, the role the military has in education and research in educational institutions. Different groups used the week of action in different ways – direct action in Korea and Canada, info stalls and events in Germany, Korea, state of Spain and Scotland, a vigil in England, articles and reports from Britain, and on education and the military from a human rights perspective. Finally, a call to action was issued jointly by twenty six groups from thirteen countries. Read it here.
