Antimilitarist Roots

The War Resisters' International network is preparing to gather in London, in June 2023 - we hope you will join us for our conference Antimilitarist Roots: nonviolent resistance for a world in crisis. The event will bring activists together to discuss the future of our grassroots movements, build allyship internationally, and respond to the challenges we face in our militarised world.

A lot of the Antimilitarist Roots conference will be very participatory, so managing online participation is going to be difficult. However, we plan to livestream the three plenaries, which you can either join via the Zoom webinar room for each of the sessions, or they will also be broadcast on our YouTube channel and Facebook account. Each plenary will be around an hour long.

We are excited to announce that the War Resisters' International network is preparing to gather in London, in June 2023. We will hold a public conference called Antimilitarist Roots: nonviolent resistance for a world in crisis.

In June 2023, members of WRI will travel from across the world to take part in our Antimilitarist Roots conference... we hope to be able to support some of those attending by pairing them with people who live locally, who can offer some sleeping space for some or all of their stay in London.
