Statement on the reintroduction of conscription in Honduras

War Resisters' International has published a statement on a proposal to reintroduce conscription in Honduras. Conscription in Honduras was abolished in 1994, and forced recruitment, with young people sometimes "literally hunted down on the streets and in public transportation in order to be taken to military barracks" still bringing painful memories.
