Members of the European Parliament joined members of Agir Pour la Paix, one of WRI's Belgian affiliates, in occupying the runway of the Kleine-Brogel military base, in protest of the ongoing siting of US nuclear missiles there, one month ahead of a NATO summit in Brussels. They were arrested, alongside a number of activists who staged a die-in protest outside the gate. It is estimated that there are 10-20 US B61 nuclear bombs stationed at Kleine Brogel, and between 160 and 240 weapons stationed at sites across Europe.
