Welcome Sarah: New WRI staff member working on police militarisation
Starting this month, we have a new member of staff joining us in the WRI office. Sarah Robinson will be with us for a year as part of the Quaker Peaceworker Programme. Welcome to WRI, Sarah! Read Sarah's letter below:
Hello, I'm Sarah Robinson. I'm from Yorkshire in the UK and I have just joined War Resisters' International on a year-long placement as a Quaker Peace and Social Witness (QPSW) Peaceworker. I will be researching and developing resources relating to the militarisation of police and security and bringing together a network of people and organisations resisting arms fairs around the world. During my year I will also be spending time working for Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT) mobilising groups to shut down the DSEI arms fair due to be held in London in September 2017. Please feel free to get in touch (at sarah@wri-irg.org) about anything and everything!
Stay up to date with our international antimilitarist activism.
