WRI are preparing to release a new edition of the Handbook for Nonviolent Campaigns, and running a crowdfunding campaign to raise money to get it finished - https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/war-resisters-international-handbook-for-nonviolent-campaigns/x/6667143

For the past ten months, we've been working on the second edition of the Handbook for Nonviolent Campaigns. The first edition - released in 2009 - was the product of much work by people from all over the world, has been used extensively by movements the world over, and was translated into over ten languages.

The new edition features more stories, case studies, nonviolence training exercises and more comprehensive introductions to the issues of conflict, violence, gender and power, and what these mean in relation to our work as social change activists. There is greater input from activists in Africa, Asia and South America too, making what was already a very international publication even more so.

To get the handbook finished, WRI are running a crowdfunding campaign, to raise funds to pay for the layout work and publicity material to advertise the new handbook. If you felt able to donate, then please follow this link https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/war-resisters-international-handbook-for-nonviolent-campaigns/x/6667143 and even if you're not able to, please share it with your networks, groups, and on social media.

We're really looking forward to having the handbook ready for the WRI triennial in South Africa - help us get it there!
