Every year, 15th May marks International Conscientious Objectors day - a day to celebrate those who have and those who continue to resist war, especially by refusing to be part of military structures.

13th May: Bicycle ride to welcome the International CO day. Let's step on the pedal of peace! 2pm: Departure in front of the Constitutional Court , arrive in front of the National Assembly c. 5pm. Route: Constitutional Court -> Gwanghwamun Station -> Seodaemun Station -> Gongdeok Station -> Mapo Bridge -> Entry into Yeouido -> in front of the National Assembly.

14th May: 12.30pm: meet at HMS Nelson gate, Queens Street, to walk about 2 miles to Sallyport, singing peace songs and giving the Portsmouth pink peace scarf another outing. More info:


May 13th: 2.30 – 3.30 p.m: Ceremony at the Peace Gardens and Sheffield Cenotaph in Barker’s Pool. You can also joing the 'Choir for Peace', which is rehearsing in advance. More info:



15th May: 11:30am: Peace Flag raising ceremony, first at Civic Center flagpole at 2180 Milvia Street, corner of Allston Way and then at the flagpole at MLK, Jr. Civic Center Park, 2151 MLK, Jr. Way (between Center Street and Allston Way, across from Old City Hall), Berkeley. More info here.
