ISRAEL: CO Leonied Kressner denied family visit again

War Resisters' International learned today that again a family visit was denied to conscientious objector Leonied Kressner, imprisoned already since 15 October 2001, and awaiting trial.

CO Leonid Kressner parents were notified by the military authorities that they are again denied a visit to Leonied, in punishment for some sort of disciplinary offence that Leonied Kressner has committed. They were not notified of the nature of the offence, but it can be suspected that this has to do with his refusal to wear a military uniform in prison, for which he has been kept in the isolation ward of the prison since his imprisonment. This is the second time Leonied Kressner is denied a family visit in prison. He has only received one official family visit since his arrest on 15 October.

War Resisters' International calls on everybody to send letters of support to Leonied Kressner. This is now even more important.
