ISRAEL: CO Eran Razgour imprisoned and sentenced to 42 days

Conscientious objector Eran Razgour was imprisoned on 28 October 2001, and sentenced to 42 days imprisonment. This unusually long sentence is made up of a 14 day sentence given to Eran Razgour on the day of arrest, and an activated suspended sentence of 28 days in prison given to him three days earlier. Both sentences were given for his refusal to be enlisted.

Eran Razgour is due to be released from prison on 4 December, and is quite likely to be arrested soon afterwards.

A solidarity demonstration demanding Eran Razgour's immediate release will take place in front of the Qirya, the headquarter of the IDF, in Tel-Aviv on Wednesday, 31 October, at 16:00.
