Only two weeks to go until our international study conference "Countering the Militarisation of Youth", and we have already more than 50 registrations from a range of countries. However, we decided to extend the deadline for registrations until Sunday, 3 June - so use this chance and register now.

We are excited by this conference, which will launch WRI's work on countering the militarisation of youth as part of our work on the Right to Refuse to Kill.

We learned today that just recently the Bertolt-Brecht-Schule in Darmstadt, the host city of our conference, passed a resolution that it will not tolerate the German Bundeswehr (Armed Forces) at the school, joining several other schools all over Germany that passed similar resolutions. This is an important reminder of the role schools can play in countering the militarisation of youth - we are looking forward to interesting, inspiring, challenging discussion in Darmstadt in two weeks - and we hope you will be part of it.
