Welcome to this edition of wri-info, with the last newsletter of Shut down NATO/NATO-ZU.

War Resisters' International has been heavily involved in Shut down NATO/NATO-ZU right from the beginning. The nonviolent action we had planned happened exactly as planned, and was a success (see the resumé of the action). However, after 4 April, with all the violence at the demonstration, a lot of questions remain. The article "After Strasbourg: On dealing with violence in one's own ranks", that will be published in the May issue of our affiliated publication Graswurzelrevolution, deals with some of these questions. We also started a forum on the WRI website to discuss follow-up.

In spite of all this - we showed in Strasbourg that nonviolence is possible!
